面對當代社會所存在的迷幻享樂主義,經濟結構轉變帶出社會新興階層的崛起,藝術家管勇對這樣的現實給予了沉重的理性思考, 提出了新興階層的精英主義應有的高貴風範,帶出其歷史責任感與精神象徵性。 管勇早期作品暗示著現今知識分子的狀態,以嚴謹手法勾勒出的人物形象, 透過形體的變化以及富含象徵性意義的色彩結合,成就出其獨有虛無的神情。 藝術家將相同的手法實踐在畫面中場域的描繪,一種非穩定性的空間感結合人物的變異,更加深了其戲劇性與神祕感。

Facing the phenomenon of contemporary society's hedonistic indulgence and the emergence of new social classes brought about by economic structural changes, the artist Guan Yong has given profound rational consideration to this reality. He proposes the noble demeanor that the elites of the emerging class should embody, highlighting their sense of historical responsibility and spiritual symbolism.

Guan Yong's early works imply the state of contemporary intellectuals, delineating figures with meticulous techniques. Through the variation of forms and the combination of colors rich in symbolic meanings, he achieves a unique expression of emptiness in his characters. Employing the same techniques, the artist portrays the domain within the composition, where an unstable sense of space coupled with the variability of the figures enhances the dramatic and mysterious elements.

Humanities and knowledge have always been subjects the artist endeavors to explore.
